A surprisingly chilly day in New Orleans was still beautiful for Holly + Roman. Heavy rain the day before also prevented them from holding their small ceremony at city park but as it turns out, it turned out perfect anyway. – Photos by Kerry

About the couple:

We met through an online dating site, and first date was for tea in Flushing, Queens at a little place that doesn’t exist anymore, on a rainy day in December. Roma says he fell in love at first sight, and for me it was when he played guitar and sang to me, and taught me how to Waltz on our second date. We decided to have our ceremony in New Orleans because my Uncle DJ lives there, and we feel in love with the city and its music and magic.

Our families rented out half of Ashton’s Bed and Breakfast for the trip, because it’s another beautiful gem of New Orleans and I had stayed there with my family before. The bed and breakfast was so beautiful and special, they made so many thoughtful, beautiful touches to our stay, and the breakfasts were absolutely incredible. The owners, Patrick and Karma let us have our ceremony in the backyard of the Inn, in front of a tree that’s almost three hundred years old. They made it such a perfect experience. We had two beautiful dinners; one at Ralph’s on the Park, and another at Arnaud’s, where my Uncle worked for over 30 years. Arnaud’s was without a doubt everyone’s favorite!
